Our totsicle
Monday, November 2, 2009 at 03:04PM I got this picture from our clinic wanted to share as it made me so happy. I couldn't stop staring at it and thinking, how beautiful! Call me crazy... or say it's a face only a mother can love. (Although I wouldn't know what you are talking about, as this little one clearly takes after handsome Pete! :))
Here is our little embryo on ice!

This is the first time I have seen one of our blastocysts, although obviously we've had at least three before... but they were inside me from the get-go, so we never saw them. This is one cool thing about IVF - very early baby pictures! Also cool... the lump of cells on the right (called the inner cell mass) will grow into a baby, and around the perimeter of the shell are cells (called the trophectoderm) that will go on to make the placenta. Pretty cool, huh? (Actually, -80 degrees Centigrade is what is cool - that is the temp of this little kiddo right now!)
Can't wait to meet this little one, hopefully in about a year and nine months - hopefully after baby #4... or #s 4 and 5. :)

I think your little iced embryo is beautiful, Kerry. :)
So sweet! Looks like my identicals:)
I've been following your journey from FF (I'm a MoM too) and then eventually on your blog. And I had to stop by to say what a cute little embie you've got frozen. And a HUGE congratulations on (I hope!) baby #4 on the way - I can't wait to hear if it's twins. Huge ((((hugs))) and belly rubs to you Kerry.
That is awesome, I've never seen that before. Praying for perfection!
Praying for blessing for you and Pete. God hear my prayers. Amen!
Isn't that an amazing sight? Hoping you get to meet him or her some day down the road....
I'm speechless! This is simply amazing and so beautiful :)
HAHA - Totsicle - very clever girl!!! So happy for you two :) xo
Hi Kerry... I've been following your journey ever since our IVF buddy group in August ended. It looks like IVF #2 was successful for you - CONGRATULATIONS!!!! Kinda makes me want to give IVF another go! Can't wait to hear if it's one or two! Take care!
